Privacy & Security

Understanding how Book that Meeting protects your data, respects your privacy, and keeps your calendar safe.

Read-only calendar access

Book that Meeting never writes to your source calendars. We only read your availability to prevent double bookings. Your calendar events remain untouched.

Success
All calendar connections use read-only ICS feeds. We cannot create, modify, or delete events in your source calendar.

Rotating ICS links

Revoke access instantly by regenerating your ICS URL at your calendar provider. Update the link in Book that Meeting and the old URL stops working immediately.

Data deletion

Request full data deletion from your account settings. We will wipe:

  • All booking records
  • Calendar ICS URLs
  • Email addresses and attendee data
  • Reschedule tokens and attachments

Deletion is completed within 30 days as required by GDPR.

Encryption & storage

All ICS URLs and sensitive data are encrypted at rest. Calendar feeds are fetched over HTTPS only.

Website analytics

We use self-hosted Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that:

  • Does not use cookies - No cookies are stored on your device
  • Does not collect personal data - No IP addresses, user agents, or unique identifiers
  • Is GDPR compliant - No consent banner required
  • Is self-hosted - Data never leaves our infrastructure

Data collected

Plausible collects only aggregated, anonymous data:

  • Page views and unique visitors (anonymized)
  • Referral sources (where you came from)
  • Browser and device type (generic categories only)
  • Geographic location (country level only)
Info
Analytics data is retained for 24 months. No personal identifiers are stored, and data cannot be used to identify individual users.

Opting out

While Plausible is privacy-friendly by default, you can:

  • Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser (we respect DNT headers)
  • Use browser extensions that block analytics scripts
  • Contact us to exclude your IP address from analytics

Compliance roadmap

We're actively working toward SOC 2 Type II compliance. Check our changelog for regular security updates and milestones.
